An indispensable way of binding any two detached objects is by nailing them together. Thus, nails comprise an important binder element when we have to attach roofs, or a railway track or wooden planks. It is a very small thing but it serves a bigger purpose. A roof top would have been just mere segregated aluminum sheets; a wardrobe would have been just separate wooden planks if there was nothing to attach them together. The nails are specially made to be rust free because that adds to the durability of the roofs or any other things where it is used. A normal nail can catch rust and may become weak in grip. In olden days, it was made from hands by hammering wrought iron into thin and slender shape and a broader top and a pointed edge. However, now, we have machines producing large quantities of it at one go. Moreover, steel wires are now used in its production, which further makes it cheaper and easily available. It is also used in furniture making, decorative boxes making, nailing horse’s shoes, wooden boats, heavy ships, in metal connecting and the list seems to be endless. Apart from this, it is also used in hanging small decorative items, sceneries at any feasible position in our houses. It can be hammered into the ceiling. So, there you go, whatever you want to hang can easily be accomplished.

Hence even though being a small thing it serves great purpose and solves problem of fixing anything with just the hit of a hammer. It serves as that form of bonding which gives meaning to two different things when attached together.
